Book Fair Frankfurt 2017 - Guest of Honor France

Every year the Frankfurter Buchmesse (Book Fair Frankfurt) invites a country to be the guest of honor in order to celebrate their unique culture as well as overall diversity in literature. Design students all around Germany compete to design the welcoming poster for the guest of honor.
In 2017 this guest of honor was France. Based on French expertise for fashion and unique mime culture, these two posters were send in among the top 20 of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
Composed out of individual book pages, the book skirt is a statement for both fashion and literature. Meanwhile the mime and books have one aspect in common – they make the imaginary become visible.
