"I want to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables"
Above, is the philosophy that started the project. Through the conceptualisation stage of the project, I encountered many dead-end solutions, until to took a personal approach.
The pictures above are of my Nan's; Isabel Pereira's, delicious, authentic Sri Lankan curries. To try and bring my philosophy into my design I decided that the solution would be to design a Pop-Up shop that sells healthy, nutritious, Sri Lankan food.

PROCESS:
I created a Menu so I could see how many kitchen appliances or how much storage space would be needed in the space. As you can see on the menu, all the dishes are not made out of processed, fast food foods, but healthy sustainable ingredients.

Swap body, demount-able trailer technology is used by big companies to reduce the reload time efficiently by loading up a Swap body trailer whilst the other swap body trailers is on transit.

After speaking to a swap body trailer engineer I concluded that the RS 7080 Support legs would be the most appropriate legs for this vehicle as they stand at an optimal height and can carry up to 6 tonnes. These legs would be attached too the steel framework of a standard 20ft ISO shipping container. The rest of the shop is then built on to the framework.
Ceylon Pop-Up shop advertising

I took great inspiration from the London healthy chain restaurant LEON, there 50's style graphic designs promote a style that stands out with the bright saturated colours and the beautiful artwork and illustration.
I wanted to achieve something similar and designed my own Sri Lankan mural influenced by 1940's - 1970's 'See Ceylon' posters.

"Three Sri Lankan Ladies Picking Curry Leaves - Stephanie Pereira 2018"
This was my stand at the Bournemouth University Design and Engineering Festival 2018. This is me also demonstrating my product in Virtual Reality. I used softwares such as 3Ds Max, Maya, Substance Painter 2, Plant Factory and Unreal Engine 4.
Here is an image of my 3D printed model used to demonstrate the aesthetic goal of the design. The Douglas Fir Plants are used as screens, so that when the shadows casts within the shop it mimics that of the sun shining through a Sri Lankan Jungle.

Thank You.
