I’ve been struggling with recent paintings, experimenting with different styles and techniques to try and find my way but none of my recent work felt right. So with this painting I wanted to push the style more while maintaining my usual painting techniques when it comes to portraits.

I do think I have now found a style I feel I can grow in, so from now on i’m not going to be tempted to stray with other ideas. Instead I want to focus on these portraits and develop this style further.

I’m not saying I won’t do any more fan art or work based on comic characters, but when I do it will likely be a portrait of them in this type of style.
