Kingdom Come (Album, Marketing, Identity)

Kingdom Come - the debut collaborative project for the rap collective Team Future.
Dramatic gradient maps, dabs of rich paint, bold geometry - these elements make Kingdom Come. Carrying an "Asuka Langley" level of confidence and bravado, DJ DAX, Louverture, and Laye Murashi establish themselves as rightful players in the franchise.
Here are all the cover arts, with the first one doubling as album art, as it is the titular track.
Here they are in greater detail.
It's important to note that the nine instances of the Team Future logo represent the project's nine song tracklist.
Here's some more examples of the design language.
I knew I wanted to evoke the sense of royalty mixed with a sense of patriotism. The designs reside somewhere between American, fascist, royal, and appropriately futuristic.
This notion is furthered by the next two pieces: "kingdom" and "nation."
I wanted to make it clear - this sovereign group isn't something you can be a part of.
We don't want you.
It should also be clear that there are no competitors, no rivals, no challengers. There's only one under us, one over us - the kingdom.
Not an interesting note - I just love quasi-3D it looks.
Moving on to the promotional assets...
"Uzumaki" and "Dream" were the announcement singles for the project. Fun fact about Dream's cover art: it was the first one I made.
In fact, it was made as a banner for myself, which later expanded into the entire project's branding. Nothing new here - most of my albums start off as visual ideas.
By now, you should be realizing the excess of black... it ties into the project's theme of loneliness. Throughout all of the cover art, you see loneliness mentioned.
The QR code is pure aesthetic, clearly, as it wouldn't work with Asuka in the way.
Lastly, the kingdom's flag. Obvious inspiration is obvious, I'm an American.
Thanks for checking this out + listening.
