Beyond is a side project I created to push myself creatively. I actually don’t really like sci-fi, or know too much about DC or the Marvel universe. Every year, I try to give myself one large side project to improve technically as well as in my storytelling skills. I saw that creating something from a source that already exists while using a look and feel I don’t feel comfortable using as a huge challenge. After some research and seeing the cool stuff people where doing online, I remember how much I loved the animated series Batman Beyond as a kid. That was the spark that led me to think, what if I created a “fake” trailer for a modern take on Batman Beyond while using subtle indications from the show? It was definitely challenging but with some small personal victories along the ride :) I hope you enjoy my work as much as I had creating and diving into this world!
