BARELA-HEINRICH DEBATE RESET FOR OCT. 19

ALBUQUERQUE—A GreaterAlbuquerque Chamber of Commerce debate between the candidates for New Mexico’s1st Congressional District has been rescheduled for Oct. 19.

The luncheon debate willbe held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Hotel Albuquerque (800 Rio Grande Blvd NW,Albuquerque, NM 87104).

The rescheduling wasnecessitated by the Chamber’s Annual Meeting, which had to be set for theevening of Oct. 13, the original date of the debate.

Candidates MartinHeinrich, Democrat, and Jon Barela, Republican, will debate a wide range ofissues impacting businesses in the Greater Albuquerque area. Questions will beposed by a panel of business leaders including Pat Vincent-Collawn, CEO of PNMResources and Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors; Del Archuleta,President and CEO of Molzen-Corbin and Associates and Immediate Past Chair ofthe Chamber's Board; and Former Chairman of the Board Don Chalmers of DonChalmers Ford. The forum will be moderated by Chamber President and CEO TerriL. Cole, CCE.

“One of the mostimportant roles the Greater Albuquerque Chamber can play is helping thebusiness community learn more about candidates for public office,”Vincent-Collawn said. “With so many vital issues affecting business right now,that role is more important than ever.”
