My Local S/S 2019
‘My Local’ draws from my home street and the plants and flowers that inhabit this local space. The prints and croquis generated for this brief focused on utilising dye solutions, gouache, ink and general mixed media. The aim was to generate a collection of prints suitable for a Spring/Summer collection.
Designing for this season I curated a vibrant feminine colour palette that contrasted with a delicate ink painting style that utilised mixed media. The outcome was 6 hand generated designs and 6 printed swatches that aimed to replicate a rustic textural quality and natural aesthetic.
