Skateboard photography with film always gives me a feeling that is more sensitive to motion and color. Unexpected results from films are always fun especially when combined with skateboarding. I shot using the Japanese analog camera Yashica FX-7 and the Fuji Superia 200 film. With the typical fuji and grain tones from the film, it gave a distinct impression.
Photos that I took while still living in the hometown of Malang City. The place where I was born and raised, many friends started from playing and working on skateboarding.
A few years ago I had to move from my hometown to the capital city of Jakarta. Because skateboarding I still easily to find friends in this sub-culture. Different cities, different cultures and different inspiration. I still take pictures of skateboarding but with different locations and playing styles, of course.
