The public space is often a place of traffic where people go from one place to another and therefore public furniture like benches are often more empty than in use. 

With the urban sprout, I want to combine the concept of public sculpture and furniture. While the object is not in use it can function as a sculpture and for when it is in use the aim is to function as a place to wait, you can sit, lean or use it as a table. some examples of the location where it can be placed are bus stops, metro stations or squares.

This is one of the projects I made at Konstfack during my exchange here. The project will be presented at the Stockholm furniture & light fair from 5th till 9th of February.
