I was tasked with the project of designing a new airline ticket for American Airlines. It was found that quite often passengers thought boarding passes were boring and very difficult to read. I went in to this project with the mindset that I want to make the most important details on a boarding pass stand out while also not overwhelming the passenger. I created a boarding pass that has the basic typography and colors that correspond with American Airlines. However the thick red lines and opaque airplane add that interest to the ticket and draw the passengers eyes to important details such as their seat and gate number.
