The Paul residence is a modern house built on a large plot in central Delhi. We were asked to convert the big lawn facing the main facade of the house and the adjoining poolside area into a semi covered party venue for one night.
We used traditional motifs in a contemporary setting for the design of the space. The lawns in the front of the house were dotted with tree like installations to form canopies over the party space. The minimal clean lines of the house facade were lit using large paper lantern structures which in a way were extensions of the contemporary aesthetic of the house.
