Used the DVD case for image reference > transferred image freehand with permanent marker > used exacto knife and screw driver to carve out designated areas > in a dark room I lit the pumpkin with a desk lamp and scraped the pumpkin with a screw driver until the desired shading was obtained.  Total time spent: 6 hrs
