With this painting I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and create something more stylised than my previous paintings. I also felt I needed to move away from using reference directly and instead experiment with my own ideas, so I decided to do another comic book character.

I have mixed views on the results but this was an experiment, and I learned a lot from doing it, but I enjoyed it and feel like its something I can develop over time, so I plan to do more work like this in the future.
