Project: branding & design of digital product
Client: Poki
Role: Brand Strategist & Design Director
Responsibility: Branding, Art Direction, UX/UI Design
During my time as Design Director at Poki, I've created the design for this sub-brand and product. It had to be both visually appealing and different, but not conflicting with our main games platform. Above all else: finished yesterday, besides my regular daily work on the main product. Needless to say: I had to find a way to do it smart and ultra-lean.
So over the next several evenings and weekends, a freelance graphic designer, junior animator and me locked ourselves in a sprint room to try and deliver on the seemingly impossible deadline of just two weeks…
Final Product (responsive desktop/mobile)
Logomark & lockups
Logo design (drafts)
UX design (flowcharts, wireframes)
Product Design (final templates & assets)
Outcome
By requesting very early sign-off on the direction and extremely focused collaboration, we were able to wrap up the complete design of the project from start to finish in less than seven workdays; this included everything from briefing to logo design, interaction design and final assets for the development team. Hooray!!!
Result: the full product was shipped and launched about a month later, and within a week we had already welcomed our 100.000th visitor (and counting).
