This old hand-woven self-portrait from 2016, with its fragmentation and interplay of lengths, depicting concreteness and non-concreteness, illustrates a phenomenon that happens to all of us in our lives, due to our encounters with many people. "Uh, that person is so familiar! I've seen them somewhere before." Then you remember where. Then you forget again, because the next time you see that person, the thought comes back to you, "Uh, that person looks so familiar! I've seen them somewhere before."
