Dundalk International Music Series
Brochure  Design
Fusing text and image to capture the breadth and variety of the multi-talented performer's throughout this concert series, my goal was to deliver an elegant, yet functional layout to  inform and evoke excitement for each performance.

Working closely with the Dundalk Arts Office I helped expand their ambition for its music programme and to develop this event programme design for the International Music Series which encompassed choral, orchestral, chamber and solo performances with a stellar line-up of international stars from the Baltic States, Sweden, Russia, Czechoslovakia and Ireland.

The series opened with a performance by one of the world’s greatest choirs The State Choir Latvija, premiering a commission by arguably the most important living composer in the world- Arvo Pärt. Renowned Irish composer and pianist Philip Martin performed as did the wonderful Swedish chamber orchestra Musica Vitae making their debut Irish performance along with the outstanding solo cellist Guy Johnston and the St. Petersburg String Quartet. The baroque ensemble Armoniosa performed on period instruments in ‘The Grand Tour’, a musical journey through 18th century Europe and William Dowdall and friends performed in a beautiful trio of harp flute and viola. The series culminated in a winter recital by the Wihan String Quartet and Czech ensemble performing Janacek’s incredibly moving ‘Intimate Letters.’

The concerts were partly funded by the Irish Arts Council/An Comhairle Ealaíon and took place in a variety of venues in Dundalk, Ireland from St. Patrick’s Cathedral, to the Táin theatre, The Marist Church and the Green Church.
