‘‘Kumud’ is a client-based project which throws light on blooming lotuses with subtle pastels highlighting the collection. The idea was to work on digital prints which would further get block-printed to come up with a collection of bed linen, duvets and cushion covers. The client wanted to work on the idea of unconventional beauty of nature, depicted by floral patterns. Lotus, that blooms in the mud fit in perfectly to defy the rules of beauty by emerging from the muddy puddles, creating an impact with its presence.
