literary magazine vaporwave campaign on Twitter

These are samples of how I promoted a single link over time for the social commentary literary magazine, Subversas. While managing their social media calendar, I used SmarterQueue to vary the site categories tweeted about throughout the week. While each of these posts would have been surrounded by replies and tweets from other topics, this sample illustrates the post strategy for a single link. I created a variety of posts based on the content of the article, so the content was never repetitive, even when promoting the same post.

Because the post content was about a musical and visual form (Vaporwave), I used images, mostly animated gifs, that served as eye-catching examples of the genre. Click on the link to see the gifs in motion.

In full transparency, I want to make clear that I did NOT create the artwork in these tweetsthese are examples of the genre being written about, which are often underground art that is frequently uncredited. However I have created interactive art for this website, for example see subversas.com/about or subversas.com/no-safe-spaces.
