PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Compact Year Calendar
INSPIRATION:
The idea is about how to create an out of the box simple compact one-page calendar without rely on the traditional monthly method which will always take a great space and needs more time to find the name of the day for any given date.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
I discovered a repeated weekly pattern formula for the days of the months, that pattern can be captured by bounding it with colors. So, I created a colors map for every day of the year. Which represented in the second box then I created a table of all months where the pattern appears, then assigned a color for every group of days according to that formula which represented in the first box. Finally, I wrote the discretion of how to use the calendar and the steps you must follow on the left side
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The innovation of the calendar and the ease of use will make it a good alternative to the traditional calendar and will help people to know the name of any day in the year in a simple and attractive way with just a few simple steps.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
December 2018 in Bani Suef, Egypt, and finished in January 2019.
