CGI PHOTOGRAPHY OF 3D SCANS / HISTORIC FIGURES
I created this series from 3D SCANNED data by Threedscans and Benjamin Bardou. It was important to me to represent the historical figures in a heroic way, starting to express that with camera perspective and going on with a dramatic and contrasty light, inspired by Caravaggio and Rembrandt. The shadings are meant to be an older, detailed and cracked, historical surface with the exception of the young boy which I meant to be in a more free and abstract, but also dramatic and dynamic way in material mix, complementary to the pose, silhouette and narrative of the figure.
