Ring charts, also known as radial bar charts, have a lot of the same appeal – and the same drawbacks – as pie and donut charts. If you want to figure out exact amounts or ratios, use a standard bar chart. If you want general comparisons or want to see “this is a little more than that,” ring charts can add some variety to your dashboards and reports.
