The Decade Magazine was a class-collaborative activity book. Each student was given a decade to inspire the design of their spread while incorporating a game. I was given 2000-2010. I chose to go with the trend of Art-Noveau while at the same time keeping typography a main element of my design. I used desaturated color and a slab-serif typface.
Each student submitted their own design for a cover competition. The two covers shown below came in 3rd and 2nd place. I designed the covers around the idea that styles in design are always repeating and inspiring from one decade to the next.
