this was a project i completed for my graphic design II course, taken during the spring of 2018 at the university of wisconsin - stout. we were given the task to take the packaging of an existing project, and completely redesign it as we chose. i chose a color changing lightbulb, as i found it's original package to be bulky and busy. there's no need for a product this small to be in such large packaging, so i created brand new pyramid die-lines and reduced the design to a simple gradient with minimal typography. chevrons down the side activate the pyramids edges and further emphasize the directionality of the form.
