This portfolio is comprised of all screen printed material, addressing the ways in which humans obtain, interact, and consume their environments. I chose to observe this concept through exploring our relationship to the fish. As a species, they function as wild animals, pets, food, as well as sculpture. The fish featured in each image is the freshwater Arowana, which is deemed in Japan to possess good luck. Depending on the variety, they range in price from $1000 to $10,000 per fish. Arowanas have been found to be nearly extinct in the wild.
