Cannibal Advent: an online calendar for Cannibal Kids

The Cannibal Advent - An Interactive Calendar for Cannibal Kids was an online advent calendar, toying with a simple idea: what would an Advent calendar be like for cannibal kids? On traditional Advent Calendars, 24 paper flap covered "windows", one for each day, hide small pieces of chocolate. Leading up to Christmas, every day a window is opened, and the treat hidden inside is revealed.

But what if for some kids "treat" doesn't mean chocolate? Why doesn't anyone care about the Cannibal children? What would cheer them up? And how an open-up calendar would look like in their case?

That's what this online experiment (which is meant to be a joke for people preferring to get in the Holiday spirit with a sens of dark humor) was trying to explore.

O, the joyful excitement of Advent Calendar opening!

A little treat, chocolate every day
– who wouldn’t cheer up?...

Cannibals, for instance, wouldn’t. Some just crave different treats.

We believe that Cannibal kids deserve a proper Calendar, too.
To get their soul prepared for Christmas with a little goody
snack each day.
