Time frame: 2 days - I never had that little time for creating Awesome Collective's new party-advertisement. Therefore I went for simple shapes, clean typography and flashy, attention grabbing colors.
The slogan "Fuck Gender - Do The Bender" relates to an episode of "Futurama" where the android Bender dressed with tutu, wig and a magic wand fights against an gigantic killer-machine. He calls himself the "Gender-Bender".
Gender bender is an informal term used to refer to a person who actively transgresses, or "bends," expected gender roles.
In honour of the occasion we decided to create shirts with the Bender character. It took one night to create a working stencil but then the fun began ...
Silkscreen here we go!
The foil I used for the stencil was a bit too thick, therefore I cut for almost three hours. For the print we used spot colour on cheap shirts from local discounters.
We were abled to start mass production ... in small scale ;).
