2D design P2 Gestalt Principles

In our second project we explored the Principles of Gestalt within design. We learned about 4 of the principles, Proximity, Similarity, Continuance, and Closure. For this assignment we used the 4 Gestalt Principles and made a small design using InDesign and we were also required to use the font ''Platelet''. You can see my work process here.
The first Gestalt Principle here is ''Proximity'', which is that objects that are near each other are often grouped together. I made this layering two letter T's of different sizes together and changing the fill and stroke.
The second principle is ''Similarity'' the idea is that objects that share shape, size, and color will be seen as belonging in a group together. In this design I used letter o's and number 0's and changing the background color to black, while changing the type to white.
The third principle, Continuance, a line of elements that are grouped together and a line that you visually follow the direction or flow off. For this design I was thinking of a paper airplane and I used the type on a path tool to make the curve.
The fourth and final Gestalt Principle that we covered is ''Closure''. Closure, which can also involve Figure Ground, is how the mind and eyes perceive parts of shapes, and might see a complete shape even if other parts are actually absent. For this I enlarged two symbols to give this look of going of the design space and creating perceived shapes inside of the space, even though the shapes are not closed or touching.
