Way-finding System
San Francisco State University
Objective: To develop an Inclusive Environmental Graphic Signage & Way-finding System for the re-designed San Francisco State University, J. Paul Leonard Library. The objective is to design user-environmentally friendly informational signage system that is accessible to a wide range of users, particularly persons with disabilities in accordance to the ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements and Universal Design principles. The task is to create a sequence of SIX (6) signs that will guide and navigate the user from the outer periphery of the campus to the Campus Library Events Room, LIB 121.

Solution: Using LED's, ADA compliant typeface, dimensions and colours, the signs are illuminated from within to draw the user's attention in order to ensure legibility and ease of use in both day time and night use.
