Air Quality in Houston
Houston air quality is improving, and continued improvement is expected as new rules and voluntary programs reduce emissions from business and industry. Cars and trucks are also getting cleaner, and citizens can do their part by following easy, money saving programs like sharing rides and conserving energy. Houston is experiencing robust economic growth and, due to the combined efforts of industry, government, and individual citizens, our region has been able to maintain that level of economic growth while achieving substantial air quality improvements in the past 20 years.
