Sacstate mobile app Testing the ux and usability

Client: Sacramento state representative
Period: Fall 2017
My role: Design improvisation and test

1.Personas:
Based on the interviews and discussion with the client and stake holders we created personas. We referred to them throughout the entire product development process.
User research, interviews, feedbacks were used while developing the personas
From the inital stages of the design plan we started using the personas.
Requirements and perception of the user, end user information were extracted from each persona.
Sample portfolio designs and rough sketches were developed.
All this resulted in better product development

2.User Testing
Before launching the product, there was a testing round in order to reveal possible usability problems.

We created test plans and test cases to cover all the test subjects of the application.
Flow, navigation, prompts and user expectations, usability were tested on the user end.
Performance, robustness, reliability, were tested on the developer side.
Improvement and enhancements were made.
The application testing was a fun experience to me and my team where we had enjoyed facing each challenge which we never came across in our study. It was completely new, fresh and honest to us to feel and understand what it is to be in the shoes of an end user as well as a designer.
