I remember the incident that happened last December 2012 on Compostela Valley and other parts of Mindanao. Due to very heavy rains and flash floods, thousands of lives were gone in a blink of an eye. The following day, houses and other structures were not in their places anymore. The trees were all gone. It was reported that the factors that made this calamity even worse was that, trees on their mountains were cut and uprooted illegally and/or legally. Since trees on the mountains absorb the rain showers, during that time, there was no tree left to absorb the water.
“What If Humans Are Trees?” is a different perspective on environmental protection and conservation. It showcases images where people can put themselves in through realization that they are one with these creations.
Thousands of trees lost equals thousands of lives lost. If people will think they are a tree, will they care even more about the environment they live in?
