DESIGNERINNEN – EINE PUBLIKATION PT. 2

For our publication title we researched Old German terms. Terms like resurrection, recovery, return, rise up seemed to us the most meaningful, because many of these designers (and their work) were forgotten and are not mentioned in german history books.
URSTÄND Definition:
> Middle High German, late High High German primitive = resurrection,
to Old High German erstān = stand up, rise; rise again
The publication contains texts and photographs by: Lill Tschudi, Uta Barth, Gunta Stölzl, Sandra Döller, Julia Friese, Marianne Breslauer, Else Oppler-Legband, Elisabeth Friedländer, Marie Harder, Germaine Krull, Ulli Lust, Lotte Reiniger, Andrea Zittler, Margarete Jahny, Elisa Strozyk, Verena Gerlach, Barbara Schmidt, Gertrud Kleinhempel, Nina Lieven and Yva.
