UNL Campus Civic Engagement

With hopes to create a more civil campus, I created a social justice campaign influencing students to be more considerate about their world and one another. I created wallet cards, posters, web graphics, and GIFs.
I took inspiration from 80's punk posters, while incorporating imagery from the 50s to 60s. Each of the deteriorated images pertain to the principle while also relying on a complementary color scheme. The campaign is entitled "be the peace," and drives a secondary message about creating an harmonious environment.
The campaign would create a plethora of deliverables, such as buttons and civility certification cards. The wallet cards are designed to carry a vibrant colored image on the back with the typographic principle it's associated to on the opposite side.
The GIFs alternate between the the original black and white image and the colored, textured effect with the campaign's lockup to give off a subliminal, yet punky aesthetic. The social media campaign would mimic the same imagery with captions related to the principles.
It was really fulfilling to work on a project that allowed me to mix my own personal taste, counter culture, and civic engagement into one campaign that could be utilized by the university.
