Every One Deserves a Home Campaign

Working closely with a local shelter, Grace Marketplace, I created a campaign to raise awareness about homelessness in my community. Instead of working with a the usual sad storyline that attempts to pull at your heart strings and grasp your empathy causing you guilt, this campaign aims to raise awareness about homelessness by showing simple things we take for granted. Using visuals that are presenting truthful statements that do not go for the dramatic appeal of shock and terror but that are designed to be pleasing to look at and bring about a conscious shift in awareness. It aims to give the viewer the opportunity to “hear” the message because they aren’t turned off by the imagery. The concept for the campaign was to point out the things that we take for granted because we have homes.
