JUNIP is a modern collection for the bathroom, one of our two apothecary-inspired collaborations with Gensler, the world’s leading collaborative design firm. The pieces in the Junip collection have the weighted look and feel of traditional apothecary bottles, but with modern lines and finishes. Featuring warm and inviting rounded lines and an eye-catching chrome accents. The pieces in the Junip collection are refined, yet comfortably casual, with shapes and proportions that aren’t perfectly matched, but rather coordinated to be complementary.
I worked on the soap pump, tumbler and tooth brush holder, GENSLER design the rest in collaboration with Umbra.
The original idea behind the soap pump, the tumbler and the tooth brush holder was a RETROFIT collection : 1 piece that could fit different materials in order to customize in endless possibilities
We explored different shapes that could match with this idea
And then explored different materials that could be applied
We wanted a shape that could fit even into our existing collections at Umbra
