A CLICHÉ
This wallpainting was made for an original initiative by a young and talented entrepreneur; a startup company,
called Mr. Tulip Tours. It was meant as a welcoming piece of art, to receive guests with at the beginning of a
guided tour along a Dutch tulip company.
Mr. Tulip asked me to create a typical Dutch image, in order to maintain the image of the old [Dutch] tradition
and keep up with the expectations that seemingly a lot of tourists embrace who visit the tour.
Visitors can pose and make photos in front of the painted wall, which provides great content to share in the
extensive online universe. The art piece has become very outspoken and makes a personal statement, in a way
that it translates the identity of 'Mr. Tulip' at one glance. It also contains a lot of secrets hidden in small details
whose keep the eye triggered to figure out what story is going on within the painting.
