This was a group project.
I designed the structure of our chair.
And it is really strong.
This is a group work when I was taking human factors class at SCAD. My teammate Chen Lu and I designed the chair which is able to support adult's wight.
We started from stretch-out view.
We attached printed stretch-out view on cardboard.
We cut them into pieces.
We had the seat basically.
We mad solid seat and back with blue foam. They will distribute the graviry eventually to the cardboard.
Our cardboard chair works great with different people.
"It feels stable and realiable." One of the tester said.
Actually, it has been used by my girlfriend for almost one year. And it is still stable and strong. As a matter of fact, the blue foam works great to decrease the damage to the cardboard. I am so pround with the structure I designed for this chair.
