What were his family like???

They were lived on island of Samos, in the Aegean Sea off modern day Greece

They were wealthy family.

They were imported expensive gemstones and created exquisite jewellery for the rich and famous of ancient Greece.

They had two or three siblings.

What did he do???
He fled to southern Italy to escape the harsh rule of Polycrates (died c. 522 BCE ), who came to power about 538 BCE.

He was invented the Pythagoras Theorem, which was a mathematical rule relating to triangles. 
He was the first man to call himself a philosopher ("lover of wisdom") and that he was the first to divide the globe into five climatic zones.

The oldest known building designed according to Pythagorean teachings is the Porta Maggiore Basilica.

Religion???
Pythagoras religious teachings were based on the doctrine (teaching) of metempsychosis.

Pythagoras teachings are apparently based on Oriental religions - Hinduism and Buddhism. 

Pythagoras was a vegetarian.
