Chester Women's Aid

Chester Women's Aid are a local charity supporting and encouraging women who have been through difficult circumstances, including domestic violence.

As part of my Design Management & Production university module, I created a new identity for the charity, focusing around the idea of the joy and freedom which the charity can help these women to strive to achieve.
A new logo was created, featuring the freedom-inspired balloons, alongside a new range of stationery including letterhead, contact card and compliments slip.
A new range of publicity has also been designed, centering around the inspirational stories of three individual women who have been part of the charity.
I had the most fun coming up with a new website concept, which aims to engage people as quickly as possible, whether they be supporters of the charity, or are wanting to know more about what the charity can offer. A full home screen minimises the need for scrolling, meaning everything is immediately to hand. Upcoming events are displayed clearly, alongside video content centering around the stories of the individuals who have used the charity. The charity's mission statement and social media links are also displayed clearly and in a way that is as engaging as possible.
The publicity pack was designed to reflect both the publicity and the new website, with the soft pinks and peaches used once again. The charity's mission statement appears here, alongside more information as to what they can offer.
Finally, a Facebook page for supporters and events publicity will also be set up, linking directly to the main website. Charity awareness merchandise could also be produced, such as tote bags, pocket mirrors and wristbands, detailing the website as a call to action.
