Here is my entry for the "Feudal Japan: The Shogunate" contest in the Environment Concept Design category.
I decided to present different parts of the same place in the two required shots. The first image shows the samurais castle and sacred place. This place was crowned with the kuwagata symbol and honored by all of the warriors. Also, there is a river and a little village in this peaceful valley.
The second shot shows the entrance to the castle — the gates, which are located down in the valley, as well as the stair to the sacred place.
