Info: The object of this project was to create a working environment that is inspiring and inviting.

Long hours are spent in this space and I wanted a work area that would keep my wife and I motivated and inspired. The goal was to transport us to an imaginary agency located in Toronto without leaving the house. The design was inspired by using a collection of elements derived from Tim Burton's style in Alice In Wonderland, Disney's Beauty and The Beast, Brave, Tangled, etc. I also wanted to make sure everything was to look clean by hiding all the wires, external hard drives, and devices under the desk and inside the drawers. I created oval holes near the walls for wiring and heat dissipation, as well as hidden compartments inside the drawers for devices and cables.

And... A big thanks to my wife Cara for her input on the design, painting the walls, ripping the floor, veneering and staining the furniture, as well as putting up with my crazy ideas, rants and raves. And another big thanks to my talented good friend Jamie Oxenham of Oxenham design. Jamie's expertise, advice and uncanny ability to "McGuiver" almost anything thrown at him made this project really worthwhile. Thanks for the glue Jamie. I still owe you one.
