With fall in full swing, there is no better time to plan for your engagement photos. Living in San Diego we are exposed to perfect weather all year round, but October and November has to be our favorite. Cool temperatures in the mid 70’s and beautiful sunsets to go along with a slight change in color of the trees, were taking a look at some of the best areas to schedule your engagement photos in San Diego.
Mission Trails – This location is headed toward Santee, if you live a little more inland in San Diego and looking for a local engagement photographer we would love to head to Mission Trails to capture your engagement. The trails are endless and lead through the giant canyons while passing massive trees. Mission Trails picks up the amazing fall colors more so than any other place in San Diego in our opinion and is one of the best engagement locations for photos in San Diego.
Scripps Pier – As mentioned above, Scripps Pier is just minutes from the beautiful field at Marian Bear. If you are from out of town and looking for a destination engagement photographer, and going for more of a beach vibe, we strongly recommend Scripps. The symmetry of the pier and giant cliffs that hug the coastline make for one of the best engagement locations in San Diego. There are so many great beaches for engagement photos however, this has to be our favorite for beach engagement photos in San Diego as well as San Diego beach wedding photos.
Palomar Mountain – Just an hour east from San Diego is one of the best mountains in Southern California. If you are a local and looking to escape the beach we recommend scoping out Palomar Mountain. Mountain engagements with large forests are in right now and we want to take full advantage of nature’s beauty. We have shot a few engagement photos up here and would love to head back up or hit any of the new nearby mountains. San Elijo Lagoon – Encinitas is one of the top ten surf communities not only in San Diego but the world! Once again, if you are digging the boho inspired look and looking for a bohemian engagement photographer in San Diego we would love to work with you. The lagoon offers different paths throughout the marsh with different birds and natural scenery. After taking photos here for a bit we love to head to the coast and catch sunset.
