As a medical interpreter, communication between the doctor and the patient is paramount—especially when it comes to big medical decisions.

This information design project was inspired by a real-life medical case (Atrial Septum Defect), where the patient was a having a heart procedure to block a “hole” in her heart.

Using custom cut paper and photography, I made the process of this heart procedure in 4 clear steps. I wanted the patient to be aware of the process while not feeling anxious.
