Term 2 Typography class in Vancouver Film School, we got to create some typography based designs as well as a magazine spread on whatever we wanted, so of course I chose to use Twenty One Pilots as my inspiration.
EAST IS UP
This is a lyric from the Twenty One Pilots song 'Nico and the Niners'. The ||-// symbol is the band's logo as well as the yellow and black colors, taken from the band's new album 'TRENCH'.
TRENCH SPREAD
This magazine spread is dedicated to Twenty One Pilot's new album 'TRENCH' which had a lot of strong imagery and themes to play around with. The design is based off of the world of DEMA which singer Tyler Joseph, created for this new album, which included maps and characters. It was fun to learn more about their new album and play with the fun styles.
