For this piece, I wanted to experiment with using photoshop's liquify and various overlay layers to create interesting textures. I thought the wild textures and patterns would add to the overall eeriness of the painting. It was challenging to make the painting a cohesive whole and I believe there is still room to refine this technique further. 

Featured in this painting is someone haunted by a ghost in red. It was inspired by the horror thriller The Ghost Detective, however I have taken creative liberty with the imagery and plan to develop it further for my own original characters' backstories and themes. Ultimately, it was an experimental painting to depict horror themes with vivid colours.
