The New Illustrated Version Comic Book Edition (Jaynie Anne Villarde)
The study is about Dr. Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere translated by the national artist of the Philippines, Virgilio S. Almario. Jaynie Anne Villarde and Myka Felipe developed illustrations based on the preference of the market and highlighted the Philippine arts and culture in the 18th century. They partnered with Anino Comics under Adarna House Publishing to pursue their partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising Arts.


The book follows the story of the protagonist Juan Crisostomo Ibarra, a young Filipino, who attempts to introduce advancement to his country. He was accused of being an enemy of the Spaniards and started a revolt. He ends up losing his lover, Maria Clara and his own freedom.
