This illustration features an original character of mine, who has difficulty expressing his emotions occasionally. To capture that feeling, I decided to experiment with using various painterly strokes, bounded by the clean white background. The decision to warp his features were also intended to have effect of being compressed by the negative space. The character is still being developed in the time being, however this illustration aids in future depictions of him as I believe I have encapsulated the essence of his character here.
