#GPOY is a line of hand sewn t-shirts appropriating images that are popular on the blogging platform Tumblr. Often both esoteric and curiously arbitrary, these clichés are familiar to members of the Tumblr community. By taking them out of their original context and displaying them on a shirt, I examine the absurdity of each, and investigate the changing definition of popular culture in the digital age.
