Fluência offers a visual narrative on the english punk movement based on two essential figures from that era's design pratice: Barney Bubbles and Malcolm Garrett and how the first influenced the second. The publication tries to compare each other from relations established by the folding and unfolding of a system of tabs which allow the combination between images and text in such a way that the contents always complement each other in any way the reader opens the abs. The visual language stems from a contemporary reinterpretation of what is becoming punk in design nowadays (with post-modernist and brutalist influences), using a vernacular vocabulary controlled within the restraints we were presented with when the project started (especially related to printing area). This publication is composed by two booklets united by an elastic band. The first explores the history and imaginary of punk and what it really means to influence someone. The second debates directly about the life and work of both Barney Bubbles and Malcolm Garrett.

Fluência oferece uma narrativa visual sobre o punk inglês com base em duas figuras centrais do mesmo no que toca ao design: Barney Bubbles e Malcolm Garrett e a influência do primeiro no segundo. A publicação pretende relacionar os dois através de relações estabelecidas pelo dobrar e desdobrar de um sistema de abas que permite juntar texto e imagens, com conteúdos que se complementam independentemente da sua posição. A linguagem visual parte de uma reinterpretação contemporânea do que pode ser o punk nos dias de hoje, fazendo uso de um vocabulário visual mais vernacular que surge controlado dentro das condicionantes apresentadas para o projeto, nomeadamente as relativas ao plano de impressão. É composto por dois fascículos unidos, sendo que o primeiro explora a história e o imaginário do punk e do que significa a influência no mundo das artes. O segundo trata diretamente a vida e obra de Barney Bubbles e Malcolm Garrett.
