New Date picker UI as part of Absence Overview > Report Absence flow for Subit. 

Here, I have tried to create a consistent set of visual cues to represent Absence Period. The period can be specific or open-ended, and user can quickly tell the difference by looking at the two different designs, as well textual cues in the table row. 

Same visual design is used for the date-picker which employs a 'curved' look-n-feel that  is used for the rest of the platform.
